The Making of a Mural
with Artist
T. Scott Sayre

The Cupertino mural is a representative historical mural commissioned by the City of Cupertino for the City Hall lobby from artist T. Scott Sayre of Clayton, California. It depicts the past, present and a concept of the future of this Santa Clara Valley community.

T. Scott Sayre was awarded the Cupertino mural commissioned from a field of 48 muralists throughout the United States. His detailed rendering of the two-panel work for the walls of City Hall was judged to be most responsive to the City's requirements.

Notes:

This was shot over a nine-month period, visiting the artist's studio three times in that period. I shot this with a Sony DXC3000 and recorded on UCA-20 tapes! After adding time-code to channel 1, we edited the program on a pc-based "Mickey" editing system using a Hotronics dual-TBC system and an Amiga-based paint and CG program.
