Cupertino's Third Annual Lunar Day Unity Parade
Saturday, March 12, 2005 This was a two-camera (Sony DSR-500's), eng-configured shoot for post-assembly. We mic'd KPIX's Rick Quan, Master of Ceremonies, with Shure's wireless lav and used two UP4 receivers, one for each camera. Using an Pinnacle Liquid Silver NLE, the editor edited the video and audio for a very smooth, and shorter parade which was ideal for the one-half hour programming time slot.

Cupertino's CREST Awards Recipients
My responsibilities were shooting the interviews, b-roll and assist in the editing of the vignettes. We use a Sony DSR-500, a Sachtler tripod (nice!) and a lighting kit (approx. 250W per light) for basic three-point lighting. Editing is now via Pentium dual-processor, PC-based NLE.

My First Motorcycle Crash!
Just starting off after a mid-morning break, I found I was approaching a stop too fast and in the wrong lane. It was "too much front brake over a painted surface" and the bike went down with minimal damage. Later, following the rest of the guys, I was riding over 105 MPH!
